24 Days of Turtle: Day 24 (Gingerbread Technodrome)

This holiday season, Santa is coming to the sewers! 24 Days of Turtle is a countdown until Christmas guaranteed to make you merry. From December 1st through 24th, this advent calendar will shell out 24 different TMNT Holiday-themed treats. Each day will offer something new, something ninja.

DAY 24: GINGERBREAD TECHNODROME

After an incredible Christmas countdown, Santa is finally on his way. We've reached the final chapter of 24 Days of Turtle! Closing out this advent calendar is no easy task. Each day, The Sewer Den has presented a gift full of Turtle Power. 24 Days of Turtle must go out with a bodacious bang.

I wanted something big.

Something out of this world.

Something from Dimension X.

Sledding through the snow on Day 24 of 24 Days of Turtle is the Gingerbread Technodrome. Dozens of playsets have been released over the years, but none of them edible. Sink your teeth into the Foot Clan's festive fortress.

If this thing was sold in stores, what would the box say?

Mobile graham cracker attack station!

Tail-kickin' taffy Foot armor!

Dreaded, treaded peppermint wheels!

Crazy, cruel candy cane turrets!

Gumdrop battering ram of doom!

Wicked, wacky honey hatch!

Sinister jawbreaker eyeball action!

Who could resist?! The Gingerbread Technodrome would be the must-have Christmas toy of the season. Store shelves would be completely empty - "Sold Out" signs everywhere. Parents would be forced to pay big bucks for this villainous stronghold full of sweets.

Packaging on playsets are always alluring until your eyes discover that one line of print, "figures not included." When you shell out so much cash for these things, that's a major bummer. Well, not here! The Gingerbread Technodrome generously includes 5 figures for your collection.

The Turtles bring their sugar-coated blend of mutant madness to the mix. They don't have weapons, but when you're a ninja gumdrop, who needs them?

This holiday party isn't exclusive to good guys only. The invites also went out to evil-doers, and Krang came to crush your Christmas spirit. Forget the fruit cake, he wants to dine on Turtle soup.

Grandma didn't get rundown by a reindeer - it was Krang manning the Technodrome with his Twizzlers Pull-N-Peel arms.

Whether you're spending the holidays in Dimension X or on planet Earth, I hope The Sewer Den's 24 Days of Turtle brought you Christmas cheer along the way. Everyday this Turtle-powered advent calendar has been a joyous occasion. Sharing stories and treasures from my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collection has made me one merry dude. Thank you for embarking on this sleigh ride through the sewers.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Keep swinging by The Sewer Den for more cowabunga adventures.

  1. Extremely creative, and really something that takes imagination to do. Love the four turtles as just gumdrops. Simple, yet inspiring. :) I could just dig into all of this in no matter of seconds. Delicious.

Sad to see this countdown come to end, but, it had to happen, I guess. Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays, fellow shellheads! It's going to be a very awesome day tomorrow for many.

  2. Hands down - my favorite post out of all 24 Days of Turtle! This is awesome. I've tried building gingerbread houses and I know what a pain in the rump it is to do. And the gumdrop turtles had me cracking up. Very cool. Merry Christmas from me and Matilda the Hun.

  3. This is the most majestic thing I have ever seen! The ju-jube (whatever!) Turtles might be my favourite part, though, but I can't quite decide. Happy holidays!

  4. Next Christmas, I would love to see the Channel 6 building of the 1987 TMNT cartoon in gingerbread-style!

Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.
