24 Days of Turtle: Day 18 (Candy Cane Coin Bank)

This holiday season, Santa is coming to the sewers! 24 Days of Turtle is a countdown until Christmas guaranteed to make you merry. From December 1st through 24th, this advent calendar will shell out 24 different TMNT Holiday-themed treats. Each day will offer something new, something ninja.

DAY 18: CANDY CANE COIN BANK

Splinter teaches a lot of important lessons down in the sewer. Aside from training the Turtles in martial arts, the rat also sets a strong example in patience & discipline. But now, he's putting his tail into new territory - banking. This Christmas season, it seems there is a new lesson for kids to learn. The ancient art of a savings account.

The Turtles have become role models with this Christmas goodie. Instead of encouraging kids to only eat sweets during the holiday season, they also offer the option to save a few bucks. Satisfy your sweet tooth AND pinch a few pennies? This is a lesson Master Splinter would certainly approve of.

The coin bank is a simple & effective concept, but doesn't exactly make heaven and nature sing. What kid is thrilled with accounting?

At Christmas, kids want candy.

Crack open the vault for a wealth of sweets. Unlike the singular, giant candy cane, this coin bank is filled with a bundle of minis. Flip your bank upside down to reveal your treasure. Cha-Ching - three flavor options.

Since I'm no candy cane connoisseur, these minis are the perfect size for me - avoiding a sugar overload. You can sample each flavor without feeling like a glutton. It's the appetizer of candy canes.

You don't need to be a brainy accountant to see the 2 in 1 value of the candy cane coin bank. It's no Sewer Lair Playset, but for 2 bucks, it's a steal. Shell out your green and cash in on this Christmas gift.

Be a ninja master, be mindful of your money.

Make sure to return tomorrow for Day 19 of 24 Days of Turtle!

  1. That's a totally good deal. I think I need to shell out some money to get it, since I'm having a sudden habit of using my money all in one go for TMNT merchandise (which I have no regrets about.) This might help me slim that down a bit and save to buy more for later.

It would be even more awesome if the mini-candy canes were all in the colors of the four different turtles, and they each had a symbol representing that turtle of something. But, that doesn't stop this from still being radical.
