24 Days of Turtle (2014): Day 15 (Plush Ornaments)

Welcome to the 2014 edition of 24 Days of Turtle. The awesome advent calendar features daily TMNT Christmas-themed treasures. There will be festive fun, gracious gifts, and Turtle Powered prizes!

Day 15 of the countdown will light you up.

PLUSH ORNAMENTS
(2014)

Trimming the Christmas tree can be a delicate task. Ornaments are often very fragile and require a lot of care. One slip of the fingers and your cherished decoration could crash to the floor. No one wants to be unhappy during the holidays.

That's why these TMNT plush ornaments are so refreshing. Tough and stuffed, these dudes feel indestructible. If they fall to the floor, there's no shattering - alleviating all that decorating pressure. Enjoy yourself and toss them into the tree without a care. Have the urge to execute a swift ninja kick? You could probably do that to these ornaments and it would A-OK. Not an ideal way to trim a tree though...

Visually these guys are cool too. Even though the tags are branded from the Nickelodeon universe, the plush ornaments are a mutant mash-up of different TMNT eras. Their musclebound bodies are reminiscent of the 2K3 series, while their eye color is on point with the Nickelodeon cartoon, and their faces are ugly enough to be from the new movie. Awesome and askew.

The plush ornaments aren't petite either. Each Turtle measures about 6 inches tall - with adorable Santa caps perched on top of their heads. That's bigger than the basic action figures you'll find on store shelves. Maybe the ornaments can battle with their plastic counterparts.

Each day of 24 Days of Turtle will feature a Turtle-Powered present.

Today's gift is a scanned cover from the Michaelangelo Christmas Special from Mirage. This awesome image has a pretty heft resolution. Use it as a computer wallpaper or send your printer into early retirement by exhausting the ink supply.

Check back tomorrow for DAY 16 of 24 Days of Turtle for more festive fun, gracious gifts, and possible prizes! Until then, stay jolly, dudes & dudettes!

  1. Those are rather awesome.

Don't even pretend you don't sneak them off the tree and play with them when nobody is looking..It's exactly what I would do.
