Cowabunga Christmas: Day 2 (Soft Decoration)

Welcome to Cowabunga Christmas - the 2015 edition of 24 Days of Turtle. From December 1st through 24th, the Turtle Powered advent calendar will feature daily holiday-themed treasures from every era of TMNT.

Let the countdown 'til Christmas continue with DAY 2!

What is a soft decoration? Were ornaments in the 90s categorized based off their density? Although this soft TMNT design has the appearance of a baby mobile, it's actually a holiday decoration. The soft ornament can go anywhere around your house during the holidays. Hang the soft ornament from the mantel. Trim the tree with the soft ornament. You can do anything with the soft ornament!

Did I mention it's soft?

All original, baby. The soft ornament hails from 1990, where it has remained in its packaging. That's over 2 decades of spending the holidays sealed - until now. Like a genie from its lamp, it was freed from captivity. Unfortunately, it didn't fly around the room or grant me 3 wishes. It will just dangle from my Christmas tree, being soft and whatnot.

Does the Soft Decoration make a good gift?

Kids might not get much joy out of a non-plastic, actionless ornament. They won't give two pieces of coal that it's an awesome collectible from the 90s. But, original TMNT fans will go giddy for this soft sewer relic. It's vintage Turtle merch at is finest - 100% weird.

Check back tomorrow for DAY 3 of Cowabunga Christmas! Can't wait until then? Take a trip with the Ghost from Christmas Past to see what The Sewer Den put on display on December 2nd in 2013 and 2014.
